It’s quiet today. The sun’s out. So I sit on the front porch at ThinkHouse. In the sun. In the breeze. I read and write, read and write.

I read stuff I wrote this time last year.

March 23, 2011. Weatherstone 10:10 a.m.

Sarah will meet me here at 10:30.

On April 4, I will see a neurologist for investigation of some “abnormalities” on my brain, as shown by an MRI that I had on March 10.

This has got to be the good life.

March 28, 2011. ThinkHouse Collective. 1:30 p.m.

Finally a break from the rain. The sun is out and I’m sitting on the front porch. Weather really makes a difference. It affects my mood. Being alone all day also affects my mood. Mom suggested that I journal about blessings to help keep a positive attitude. Friday Jeremy and I had a great night out: dinner at Hot Italian, brain storming about Under the Gum Tree, and a play at B Street Theater.

I used to think that the world needs my work…was that arrogant or just plain naive?

May 24, 2012.

Does that courage Dillard speaks of mean the courage to write and produce work regardless of whether the world needs it?
