How To Manage Depression Cover Yellow WEB

Depression. It’s not a fun topic. It’s not fun to talk about. It’s not fun to even think about. And it’s definitely not fun to deal with. I began writing about it to help myself process what I was going through–and, as I wrote to help myself, I was helping other people too.

That’s what happens when we share our stories.

So I’ve been working on an ebook, which I’m happy (also: totally excited and completely nervous) to announce is available for preorder and will be published on April 18. It’s called How to Manage Depression Without Drugs. It’s for people who struggle with depression and who, like me, want to be intentional about taking control of their health.

Here I am talking about the ebook.

This whole publishing an ebook is new for me. There’s almost more work to do now that the book is done. I’ve been doing things like designing info graphics (which you’ll see at the end of each chapter in the book), making that video (with help from my amazing husband), setting up a virtual book tour (details below) and testing all different types of electronic files for formatting.

So, where can you get the book?

It’s available for preorder at Apple, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords. It will be available for the Kindle at Amazon on April 18. In the meantime you can follow my virtual book tour:

April 1: podcast interview with Alejandro Reyes at Successfool.com

April 8: interview with Susan Herman at edit2yourcredit.com

April 10: interview with Kristy DeVaney at CaveGrrl.com

April 11: review of the ebook by Danea Horn at ChronicResilience.com

April 14: review of the ebook by Ronna Detrick

April 15: “Life-change can be an adventure. Really.” Guest post on Jennifer Snyder’s Journal

April 17: I’ll be reading from the ebook at TrueStory in Sacramento, CA

April 18: RELEASE DATE! If you preordered the book, you’ll automatically get your copy & it will be available for the Kindle at Amazon

So, what next?

I’m a first-time indie author and need all the help I can get to spread the word about my ebook. I’m super grateful to the bloggers who are participating in the virtual tour, and I’d like to show them some love. You can help by:

If you or someone you know struggles with depression, I hope you will find this ebook helpful–not in a here’s-what-to-do-to-fix-all-your-problems way, but in an encouraging and inspiring way.
